2050 Objectives

Reducing our CO₂ footprint, downsizing energy consumption and limiting our waste is a core part of our sustainability commitment and initiatives.

In 2020, we reviewed and revised our environmental goals to reflect the longer-term greenhouse gas reduction requirement to meet the Paris Climate Agreement. The Paris Climate Agreement sets out a global climate action plan to limit global warming to well below 2°C and is pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C.

As an affiliate of the Ajinomoto group, Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services’ climate objectives are included in the SBTi group targets.

With our energy and greenhouse gas targets, we aim to reduce our CO₂ emissions intensity to below 50% in 2030 (Scope baseline year 2019) and to become carbon neutral in 2050.
