On December 8th, 2017 The Flemish Government confirmed it’s intention to partially sponsor Ajinomoto OmniChem’s initiative into new and innovative technologies and manufacturing units. These investments allow Ajinomoto OmniChem to expand its service offerings in it’s pharmaceutical and other business areas to expand existing business relationships and attract new customers.

In line with its longer term strategic objectives Ajinomoto OmniChem is constantly investing in its facilities to upgrade production quality standards and to implement more environmentally aware, safer and more cost efficient manufacturing processes.

This decision demonstrates the support of the Flemish Government to innovation in Flanders at Ajinomoto OmniChem’s Balen site, contributing to maintaining OmniChem’s competitive position and continued assurances of employment in the Balen region.
